Yellowing leaves on possible black locust?

I have been growing this tree from seed for almost a year now. Sometimes small holes would spear on the leaves but recently the yellowing has really increased. I can't find any signs of pests and my plant gets several (4-ish) hours of direct sunlight every day. I don't know what else to do.

As always, a location can give us other clues you may not have thought about.
The pattern of spots on the leaves does not appear to be nutrient deficiency.
Possible watering issue? (occasional dehydration) What soil mix and what's your watering schedule?

I'm located in zone 9 and the soil is about 50/50 miracle grow potting mix and regular. I water whenever the soil is somewhat dry. Even when the dirt was 100% potting, the spots would still appear

You can add your general location to your profile. Zone 9, but, as there are members here from all over the world, ar a very minimum, which hemisphere are you in? Northern hemisphere, spring; Southern hemisphere, fall/autumn.

I want to throw mechanical damage in as an option. Makes sense that the most dangly parts that dangle the most, dance in the wind and hit stuff, which damages the foliage.

I'm in the north hemisphere. The tips are new actually, when it was smaller I kept it inside so the very hot summers wouldn't burn the new leaves. The spots were there even inside though, and leaf miner tracks are too long and connected to be this.

Looks like leaf scorch to me which can be caused by leaf miners, poor soil, too much water, too little water, etc,., etc. Google black locust leaf scorch and take your pick.
