When I started. She said no more than 5 trees. I got like.. well I lost count. Nothing great, just a lot of crap. But I'm learning how to keep things alive, and that's whats important to me right now, at the skill level that I'm at. Now she wants to go collecting with me. I dig that.

So it's, as long as things are organised. That's why I had to excavated a grow bed. She doesn't even bat an eye when I bring in yet another 4ft HO T5 light bank. Or another 3 trees. With all that aside, I still need to get my own damn thermometer.

I've not had any lack of encouraging support from my wife. We started with collecting Japanese maples for our yard. A weird trunk on one led to my first air layer and ...

Still, I had to get my own damn thermometer too.

Until soil falls apart. Then no different from bare rooting.

If the tree hasn't bound the soil by now then it's not pushing roots which is still a problem, but not for this tree. It's fine.
