I collected this maple from the side of the house in 2020. Not as ramified as most trees here but it will get there eventually.

Another tree I collected in 2020. This one was in the back yard along the fence. It was originally about 10 feet tall and I believe it is an ash (no ash borers here yet I hope). It's currently about 21 inches tall. The lower branch was on it but the other branches grew in 2021. Hopefully much more ramification this year. In fact, I took this picture just in time because several buds are just starting to open. There are some roots below the soil line that will hopefully become nebari someday.

I am not sure of the precise age, but the first cuttings of these came from the International Bonsai Arboretum about 20 years ago.
