hello, i'm very new. your ideas are needed. I found a sapling like this in a local nursery. actually pre bonsai. what kind of breed do you think? How much (in money amount) is it worth buying? Is it worth spending time working on it?

Looks like a Mugo pine. I wouldn't attempt to value it as there are too many variables. Also I have to say I am a cheapskate. I think it is workable but I am not terribly excited about it.

Welcome to Crazy!

These are the best shitty photos I have ever seen!

Is that a flyable finch cage in the background?

Everyone's time is worth more than we put into these trees for our own selfish satisfaction.

If you get more satisfaction out of the money you can make doing something other than working with this tree it is not worth working.

If you will get more satisfaction out of losing the money you could have been making while working this tree, have at it.

The human problem is needing money to live, while still needing this satisfaction.

Levels vary.

I will ask you again whenever I get excited.

I buy similar mugo from a local garden center for less than $25.
thank you. such references are important to me. the seller said that new alternatives will come ... let's evaluate together again.

But is that a finch cage or not!?

Our local laundromat has one, that somehow survived a fire (read insurance scam), so I have concern for them...lol!

Truth...

I think this is a very worthy piece of material, but I personally, am not willing to pay more for it because someone else found it for 8 bucks at a nursery and potted it.

I think you can find your own 8dollar mugo with equal or more potential.

That one ...for me....under $40 and I'd consider it.

Cut that kick stand off and it's not too bad.

If you have a wholesale nursery. The more commercial Garden Centres charge more than 8 here.

i live in turkey... Everything is developing here. hobby industry. hobby spending. I work in the pet industry. it is also developing new. occasional opportunism. there is nothing to do.

if this is not mugo.... it is scots pine...
I had considered that but it resembles my one mugo pine more than any of my 4 scots pines. Hard to know when not in hand.
