A promanant member of this board is missing. Is everything ok?
I don't know that what's going on in the sad thread has any bearing on this... or his quietness... I would hesitate to imply so.
Kindly,
Victrinia
Facebook is a fun show and tell... but not designed for research. I think he'd enjoy it much better frankly. I'll be giving him what for that he didn't look me up on it first. lol But I'd forgive him much.

It happened with a couple of discussions that happened before the "Sad" thread. No idea whether he will be back or not. His absence and the less frequent visits by people such as BVF, October and others on top of the lack of posts on more advanced trees/topics and the recent drama in seemingly every thread has also got me thinking of jumping ship as well.

QI wish guys like him would do a blog. In my thread about the difference between blogs and forums, many people stated that bogs can be stale ond one sided. That is precisely why I love them. If I really wanted to know about mugo pines it would be nice to be able to go to his blog and just read straight thru without a million side bars and drama about who has a bigger...damn I almost said it.
I have a new thread coming up. Since there seems to bo no moderation I am going to let it fly and see what I can get going. Peace out.
Q
Last time we talked he did say something about starting a blog.
Maybe some videos on YouTube if memory serves. I think he should write a book. The man has led a very interesting life.
Well he is absolutely right in what he said there- nobody seems to post trees here any more, and when people DO, the pics/ threads get ignored other than an odd post or two occasionally. But if some asshat comes along and starts a fight, everybody jumps in and the thread if 20 pages deep in a day. We need to start focusing on what this forum is supposed to be about- BONSAI and stop feeding the Trolls when they show up.
I typically do...just that. I can't justify my own part in it. Other than...no foul words came from my fingertips. Water is something I myself take as a blessing each time I take a swallow. Only from my own experiences on the mission field do I understand that water is a luxury that we at times don't give a second thought to it here in the states where I live. But...that doesn't excuse myself either. Feeding the trolls is what I have thought in past threads that turned heated. Living on Imodium and taking probiotics because our bodies are not used to becoming dehydrated and the symptoms that go along with that. Knowing that the liquid beverage which was juice isn't enough to sustain us or our team for long...but the entire villages in the frontier was experiencing similar dire straights as the forge detour through the river was washed out...rationing not sure when our supply would reach us with the bridge out. Two days it took us to get to the village that the year prior we got to in 8hours. Return trip...with the one side of bridge open...12 hours. So...I guess water and my passion and love for a village who can't even boil water...over rode my thinking. Which was wrong of me.
"I am blessed for each swallow of water I take because I know we have not only this...but more where it came from." My son of 14 yrs old...said that comment the other day. As he gulped down water on a very hot day.
No offense to anyone was put into my words...so please no one take offense. But humble I am...for the water I have.
Well, there are many here on this site I would feel both honored and privileged if able to spend just one day with to learn and grow from. Not just for their knowledge of bonsai but on a personal level as well. Mr. Vance Wood is at the top of the list.
I'd love to meet him too!
He is up there with Smoke, BVF, RockM, JohnG, V, AdairM, Cascade, BonsaiBP, Don Blackmond, garywood, Mach5, Grouper52, Si, Nathanbs, Bill V., etc. whom I wanted to meet. I know some of the people on this list would rather pound me to pulp than talk though.
He is still learningabout FB...he does not know his way around well yet...I shall make sure he hooks up with you.Facebook is a fun show and tell... but not designed for research. He has not been on FB for several days...he has some issues coming up and will not be on the internet. He joined Facebook. I not sure if that means he's using that social network now mainly or what.
Smoke as soon as he sorts out his issues I am designing a blog for him...and setting it up...then I will teach him how to use it...Hope to have it ready as soon as he is back on the net.I wish guys like him would do a blog.
