He has been here recently...just not as often. I think he's tired of all the hoopla and needed a much needed break from some of the drama. That he isn't coming on as often. Vin had done a post with his name in a title thread. It is sort if briefly touched upon.

Facebook is a fun show and tell... but not designed for research. I think he'd enjoy it much better frankly. I'll be giving him what for that he didn't look me up on it first. lol But I'd forgive him much.

I don't know that what's going on in the sad thread has any bearing on this... or his quietness... I would hesitate to imply so.

It happened with a couple of discussions that happened before the "Sad" thread. No idea whether he will be back or not. His absence and the less frequent visits by people such as BVF, October and others on top of the lack of posts on more advanced trees/topics and the recent drama in seemingly every thread has also got me thinking of jumping ship as well.

I wish guys like him would do a blog. In my thread about the difference between blogs and forums, many people stated that bogs can be stale ond one sided. That is precisely why I love them. If I really wanted to know about mugo pines it would be nice to be able to go to his blog and just read straight thru without a million side bars and drama about who has a bigger...damn I almost said it.

I have a new thread coming up. Since there seems to bo no moderation I am going to let it fly and see what I can get going. Peace out.

Yes...before that "sad" thread. I think he made a comment on wanting to see more trees as well. The search engine is a great tool when ones aren't adding new material to chew on.

It probably won't paint the whole picture now since he deleted all his post there (which is probably half of all the original posts). It was comparable to the "sad" thread.

He is in Facebook now...but not very active yet.

I don't know his story...but, you have my curiosity peaked. He seemed full of knowledge...I believe he deserves a breather. We all do from time to time. But, I do hope to see him back posting at some point more often like before.

I typically do...just that. I can't justify my own part in it. Other than...no foul words came from my fingertips. Water is something I myself take as a blessing each time I take a swallow. Only from my own experiences on the mission field do I understand that water is a luxury that we at times don't give a second thought to it here in the states where I live. But...that doesn't excuse myself either. Feeding the trolls is what I have thought in past threads that turned heated. Living on Imodium and taking probiotics because our bodies are not used to becoming dehydrated and the symptoms that go along with that. Knowing that the liquid beverage which was juice isn't enough to sustain us or our team for long...but the entire villages in the frontier was experiencing similar dire straights as the forge detour through the river was washed out...rationing not sure when our supply would reach us with the bridge out. Two days it took us to get to the village that the year prior we got to in 8hours. Return trip...with the one side of bridge open...12 hours. So...I guess water and my passion and love for a village who can't even boil water...over rode my thinking. Which was wrong of me.

"I am blessed for each swallow of water I take because I know we have not only this...but more where it came from." My son of 14 yrs old...said that comment the other day. As he gulped down water on a very hot day.

Many people who grew here (in the land of plenty) will NEVER relate as well as those who have seen 3rd world countries...especially those who lived it.

Sometimes, they won't fully appreciate what they have either. I am thankful for my "dark" experiences for they gave me the contrast to gauge my present with.

I have spent a lot of time with Bill Valavanis, even taught workshops in the same room with him. Spent lots o time with BonsaiBP, Gary Wood, NathenBS, Grouper52, Victrinia and Eric. Also met Brent Walston from Evergreen and spent lots of time with Boon, Peter Tea, John Kirby and John Calloway. Also spent a lot of time way back when with Ryan Neil when he was a newbie.

Don't worry Dario I would let you buy me 6 beers anyday.

Smoke as soon as he sorts out his issues I am designing a blog for him...and setting it up...then I will teach him how to use it...Hope to have it ready as soon as he is back on the net.
