I am looking for two forest pots, either blue or green- seafoam in color. Might also accept a red clay one too.

Looking for cheap Chinese production grade pots. Just for training a forest but I still want them to look good.

Both oval if possible.

Thanks,
Joe

Check .99 bonsai on Facebook. There are a half dozen guys on there who sell pots every single week and seem to have an unlimited supply.. Shoot them a PM and ask if they have anything like that- you might get lucky. The thing is, most pots large enough for a decent forest are crazy expensive. $100+ for a decent one, much more for a very nice one.
For training purposes, go to the nearest Dollar tree and buy a plastic oil pan, take it home, drill some hold in it and use that. It won't look as good as the "sea foam" pot you want, but it will get your trees growing together in a shape close to what you want and it will give you time to save up and buy a good pot.

BonsaiMonk used to have some good Mica forest planters. They don't have the online store any more, but they should be able to take orders by phone. If you ever go to Atlanta-GA, they in outskirts of the city.

No one makes cheap forest pots that look "good." You could go to a nursery and purchase a round drip tray as large as you like then drill half a dozen 1/2 inch holes in the bottom. But they're round and that's not great for a forest.

The oval mica pots from Mecco Bonsai are as good/cheap as you will get. I have a landscape in one:

I have to say here that those who want to make bonsai cheaply are really spitting into the wind. Bonsai may not be the most expensive hobby in the world, but it does require that you spend some money. I know that's hard on kids and just-out-of-school adults, but that's the way it is.

Cheap tree, plus cheap pot equals I-don't-want-to-look-at-it bonsai. And I know, I know, it is all a "learning experience." But I just don't know what you can really learn.

Have you considered slab planting? I've seen some pretty nice work done simply with the materials at hand. Stone, concrete, epoxy, even nylon cutting boards and plywood.

Yes @JoeR you should go to a landscape center for a slab. For under $10 you could get a nice one. I have a nice new forest pot, but it's a little more and it would be hard to ship bare root. ;p

Bill valavanis has plastic forest containers, internationalbonsai. Com

I've had good luck with Manhattan Bonsai. Here is their site: http://www.manhattanbonsai.com/catalog1_c56734_1.html
The owner's name is Efrain. He's a heck of a nice guy but be prepared for some of that frank N.Y. language if you call him.
Those mica pots are great! I most likely will and up with the 18" one even though that's larger than what I need. I am looking for a 12"-14" one but I guess larger wouldn't hurt.

Really what I meant by cheap was about $50 or below.

And these trees going in it were by no means cheap but thanks anyway for the bitterness.

Bonsai can be as expensive as you make it. I am looking for just a training pot, not a 100 year old Chinese pot that costs several hundred.

How can you perceive good advice as bitterness?
You never said what you wanted to pay so we have to assume you meant dirt cheap.
And if the trees weren't cheap, why not build a suitable size grow box and save money for a pot that's better and final.

Well, I found you one. $8!!!
You want it?

A pot for a cheap forest or a cheap pot for a forest.

Just like black forest ham.

Which is black?

I'd use concrete.

Sorce

I thought about concrete BUT I cant remember how to make it safe for trees or the thread on it.
