just would like to know how long you wait after flowering is over, do you repot? Peak summer or right after?

thank you

Species?

Most of the time, right after.
Thank you. I have a few flowering that will need repotting. Bougainvillea, jasmine (regular), Lantana, flowering acacia sp., callistimon (bottle brush), Baja fairy duster, and coast rosemary.

Bougies, lantana and callistemon for sure it's best to wait until warmer weather. I find early June is good.
Acacia means different things to different people so depends exactly what ones they are but if it's the Australian native then again mine gets repotted June as well.

No experience with the others though.

I was thinking things like azalea and forsythia, so take the other advice here :)

Note .....

Just the idea of "repotting after flowering" seems to be held on a strict schedule which we should be moving beyond.

A strict schedule of "repotting every year".
A strict schedule of "needing to see flowers".

These things just shouldn't mix often, they should only mix when a show year meets a necessary Repot year. This should be easily avoidable.

Either sacrifice the flower show for a regularly timed Repot, or use the "not so welcome" times of summer and fall to Repot.

I feel like viewing them as happening together often is some old book BS we should forget.
