What to use this pot for?

What style / size tree would you use this pot for?

I recieved it as a gift last year and while I am excited to one day use it, I'm also in no rush...

I have no idea what kind of tree, tree size or design I should look to achieve that would best suite it.

PS. The bad my medium was in broke and this pot is now the temporary storage space lol.

Traditionally, that pot would be used with a semi-cascade - a tree with a descending branch that drops below the soil line but not below the bottom of the pot.
