What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

I'm thinking about diluting the sulfur and putting it on the hollow of this Larch.
Do you mist the deadwood before applying lime sulphur?

Thought I thinned this thing last year. Bigger than it looks, I got started on it anyway.
Didn't make much progress last night, but it throws mature foliage when I do.
Cleaned a lot of Winters mulch from the foliage. No after pic for some time lol.

Now that you mention it I remember reading about people who did that, but no I didn't mist the wood.. Better effect I'm guessing?

Pic tax. JRP = Japanese Robin Pine. ;)

I have not either but will tomorrow. I bought some craft brushes today.
Here's an Ai generated response...

great smell Be sure to at minimum wear glasses or eye protection. It will burn the skin a little
and keeps you smelling a bit different for a little while if it soaks into your skin.

LOL yeah the smell was awful. I had latex gloves and eye protection on, and was super aware of possible drips from the brush.

All I have is birch bark. :)

I always wet the wood before applying Lime Sulfur. It helps it penetrate deeper into the wood instead of just sitting on the surface. It also helps to keep the tree in the shade for a day or two after to allow it to soak in slowly instead of drying up in the sun.

Picture tax, here’s a tree I lime sulfured this morning.

What kind of lime sulfur do you use? Do you have a link where I can buy some?

Finally called it quits thinning Ole No. 2 today.
I know it's gonna throw a fit on me, hoping it doesn't. Needs wiring next.

How do I link to another thread now @Bonsai Nut ? When I do it pastes the entire whole 1st post, or if I use
the share button it posts that entire post rather than a link, both on android and Mac pc.
Thread
EDIT I figured it out inserting a hyper link. Used to be able to highlight and copy address bar.

Have you used this one on your trees and have the same effect? Do use it straight out of the bottle or do you dilute it per the instructions on the bottle?
It has the same effect. I do not dilute, as the instructions are for a dog dip, and apply it by brush to a dampened wood. I really do not have anything right now that I can take a pic of, but it works exactly the same if you omit the veterinarian application of it.
