Did a first pass on kishu number two… deadwood still needs refining.

Pruned, removed wire and rewired this small Kishu. Starting to see some level of refinement. Hard to photographically capture negative space with such a small tree. Before/after.

This natal plum cascade has been in a pot for 70ish years.

Yaupon Holly, had to be at least a 12 inch base or more.

Yep. Nothing fancy. Just some Dewar's with a few drops of water. I've tasted some better, single malt scotches, and they may be "better", but not 5 times better.

Oh, and the tree is Scotch, too.

Started working on this "Split Rock" Hinoki 2 nights ago, I'd say I'll have 14 hours into it when I'm finished, 6 hours in and not even half way. Will get more pics when I finish. 7 ft tall before starting

replaced the wires holding my pine grafts in place. This looks really promising for half a year...

After three weeks of zero rain and dry baking temps we are now in day three of pots not getting a chance to dry out. So the trees that need a break from the rain go into the shed.


Under the bench are the slabs a local woodworker made me from a branch off the black walnut I cut down over a year ago. My winter project is turning a few of them into bonsai stands.
