What did you do today? Show us Pic Required

I just collected this one not long ago because of its distressed and abused condition. Basically it was bulldozed almost out of the ground and actually is only being fed by one of its two feet. Super unusual looking, maybe a candidate for exposed root mame or something. What do you think? These Honeysuckle don't really offer much to work with.
I think it's nice. Might never be a sgow material, but who cares as long as you enjoy it. I know you can regrow branches on a honeysuckle from nothing and they ratify well if cut back regularly.
I have a blob one myself...

I repotted this Tiger bark ficus that I got as a cutting from @Carol 83 in the fall of 2022. I don't have a cutting pic, but here's a pic of it in fall 2023 before coming inside, just to give you and idea on fast these can grow.

It really liked the grow tent.

I'm working on getting a fat truck about 3-or 4 inches, then I'll chop it down, and start working the branches. I'd appreciate any advice on my trunk fattening attempt. Crazy thing about these TBF is seeing them absorb their branches and roots into the tree.

Grow or burn! I tell them every day but they gotta know I practice what I preach.

Tax: Bought a couple pots the other day. The round oval in back is going to a friend when I help him repot his ficus. The front one will be for me... Probably use it for one of the procumbens.

Trimmed a few of my P. afra trees today. Still pretty tired from the 24 hour bike ride I finished yesterday so I didn't feel like wiring.

I had an amazing time during the bike ride. It's basically a big 24 hour neighborhood party. Friday night I threw a party in my backyard with my bonsai benches as the backdrop for watching sumo on a big screen. I was expecting maybe four friends, but they brought friends and a few neighbors heard the commotion so they came over for a few beers and we ended up with 15-20 people. This was the best photo we could manage.

We had too much fun I only got three laps done before going to bed at 2am.

Then Saturday I got more laps and bonus checkpoints. Even got a tattoo in the back corner of a bowling alley basement behind the arcade games for five bonus laps. Ended with 8 laps, 25 bonus laps for 33 total laps. Tied for 35th out of 72 in my solo category. Not bad.

Careful, we all know that succulents do not actually exist, so I'm not sure any of that other stuff happened either.

Putting together some Ikea shelves and grow lights in the bedroom for indoor guys and cuttings.

Ikea sells some nice glass cabinets that work really well, much easier to keep the humidity higher in an enclosed area. My tropicals liked it a lot.

Photo tax, removed and rewired some of my American hornbeam that I collected this spring. 20250725_205346.jpg
Really like American hornbeam when it has well defined muscles 💪 😆

I saw those and considered them, but I plan to grow plants that like it dry, in the 30-50% humidity range (swamp-loving tropicals are a losing battle in Denver), so it should be okay. We have a whole-house humidifier for our dry ass winters. I’m sure the cuttings would like some kind of humidity box, but I can probably rig something up for that.

The hornbeam is looking great.

nice tidy setup, its for overwintering or kind of permanent solution?

im still on "stick in a pot" level, as far away as possible from bonsai :(
