Did a little Winter cleanup on this procumbens I've had since '99-2000.
Was going to do start jinning in the 2nd apex which would occur over a few years,
but the tree was in protest, and considering to air layer, but I just can't separate them.
As confused as it looks between the 2 trees in the mid section, I think I can create
some more negative space and make it work better.
Maybe the next person who gets it will reduce to just one apex. Needs some wire
on the bottom right branches again for separation of pads. Watered all my trees.

Kaya Mooney workshop and club demo. Though I got zero pictures of my own tree for the workshop.

Demo tree went home with a mentor of mine, which is a consolation of not winning, that it will be well cared for and I can visit.

The spruce is the second photo is a 40 year old Picea Glauca ‘Wood’s Spruce’. I took a handful of cuttings during the workshop because it’s such a fine needle.

picked up my slab-built mokko from the kiln. 2 noticeable cracks, unfortunately, but lessons learned and otherwise satisfied with how it turned out - still useable

here it is next to my shukuho pot... still a long way to go. I'll probably make another few of this exact or similar shape and glaze half

Grafting a couple of extra branches to improve some developing pines. It is getting near the end of grafting pines for me this year. It is warming up after a longer cold spell. Expect the buds to begin moving. Some sap is already. Then I repotted my native red currant into a maintenance pot, selected from a local potter. Sort of Bonsai sh! It works for now. The tree was collected and the root ball has improved now to allow for a pot much smaller than the first grow box and then subsequent Anderson flat. Third container next one I expect to be a shallower oval with a darker green or blue glaze to set of the red flowers in the spring. The buds on the currant are opening so I could not wait any longer to repot. This species wakes up real early in our climate.
