I kept thinking about it and decided to take it up and went all the way.Trunk split on a small BC. It was put back in the grow bed. I will pull the tree out in 4 months and split it even more.

What's that you're using to protect the roots in the 4th pic?Repotted my newly acquired Trident into a grow box. This thing had three separate nebaris on it. I removed the top two and still had a decent amount of roots.View attachment 533847View attachment 533848View attachment 533849View attachment 533850View attachment 533851

If I did I would fall over...Went to local bonsai show at the botanical gardens in ATL. Walking under these roots was cool! I watched people to see if they noticed them. Most people didn’t look up.

I guess you didn't get the front yard flower bed cleaned up for Mrs. Cajunrider.Drastic trunk split to half a dozen BC. In the pictures below, the flare improvement is substantial.

Nice one!I bought and repotted this gray owl juniper from Lowe’s. It had pretty nice movement and didn’t break the bank at a whopping $18 @WavyGaby is the inspiration for this purchase, he has a nice one. I potted it in pure pumice and plan on giving it a year to gain vigor and contemplate my moves before I do any branch selection or cutting.
