What Bonsai For Office Environment?

i have a desk which gets morning sun, and all i keep at the office is a moss terrarium and a fern,
used to cycle between a ficus and p.affra but it's kinda risky coz what if i forget to carry it home on friday, or some random situation might occur in which i just dont go to the office on friday at all
i might actually treat myself to that lego tree just for laughs

I still haven't finished the one my friend got me for Father's Day...
... last year.

Yea I don't have a window and during field season, I sometimes don't get to the office for two weeks. So any live plants are a no go for my desk but the leggo one might be cool for something.

Maybe just pot up a cool piece of deadwood, for general bonsai vibes.
Actually, someone shared a video here a while back with a guy who used deadwood and air plants to make a rather convincing bonsai looking display.
I'll see if I can find it. If that'll do for OP it's a great idea.

Long time members here know that I am a fanatic plant person. Bonsai, Orchids, Bamboo, anything plant related. I managed to keep a day job for 40 years for a big multi-national. The ONLY way I was able to keep my job was to separate hobbies from work. My life became much easier when I stopped bringing in orchids or bonsai into the office. Sure, my managers thought they were neat hobbies, neat hobbies that distracted me from work and would get pointed out at evaluation time. Got denied a raise once because I had too many plants around, obviously not spending enough time on job. Do yourself a favor, if you are in a potential career job, not a McJob, keep the plants at home. Your bank account will eventually appreciate you keeping the plants out of the work place.

Yeah, I know, I'm a party pooper. But really, I have some painful experience that you could benefit from. Get into work, do your job, and leave as early as you can. Then play with the plants at home.

I haven't read all of the responses, but my suggestion would be to have a few plants and switch them out weekly. When they're not in the office take them home and put them under lights or outdors.
