What’s going on with my leaves?

My trident maple leaves are wilting slowly from the tip to the stem. Looks like maybe I’m over watering but I read that it could be from not enough water as well. I’m unsure of what’s going on.

Yes, I did bring him inside to keep a better eye on him once I noticed the leaves wilting. Also to bring it out of the sweltering heat that’s been occurring lately. Ive been watering every three days and misting several times a day to maintain humid conditions.

It needs to be outside and needs to be watered when it needs water, not on a 3 day schedule. Plants are yet to adapt to our human indoor living conditions (they might get there one day given a few hundred thousand years to evolve) and they also aren’t yet familiar with our concept of time and rationing so they still depend on water being supplied as soon as they greedily use up what they have available.

it is difficult to see the soil, with your pics. But for sure, put your tree outside ^^ The majority of leaves appear healthy on your pics.

I agree with dehydration. Small pots and 3 day watering is not a healthy combination. Just as an indication, my maples get watered twice a day through hotter months. You will need to find the correct timing for your weather, time of year, size of pot, type of soil and species of tree.
