Bought this pot last year and it's my favorite (and most expensive) so far. Seller couldn't help me ID the maker, and I've looked through a book of European potters, I've searched extensively online, and asked for help on Reddit and Facebook, so you guys are my last resort.
I'm just incredibly curious to ask the maker how they made it and what they modeled it on, because the most I've been able to find out is that it's likely modeled after a different officially imperially commissioned pot, since the chrysanthemum emblem has the imperial number of 16 petals, which nobody is allowed to use unless commissioned (unofficial pots use a lesser number). Or maybe the potter was just oblivious to this convention. Either way I'm curious.

Best I can tell the signature says DeLuca, a common italian last name, but again no results searching for that name as related to ceramics, in english or italian.
The walls are also incredibly thin and it might be a terracotta body because the emblem on the other side has a tiny chip revealing orange underneath, though everything else is tokoname clay colored, including under the feet and inside the rim of the drainage and wiring holes. Doesn't seem glazed but possibly some kind of oxide wash, it has some extremely subtle metallic looking color variations.
It's so beautiful and I just wanna know more about it.
