That is just precious, you win best visitor to the garden.
:) thank you... my daughter formally not a visitor... we are actually studying her tree. I bought her one young podocarpus... so they grow together. She is taking care of it day-by-day... watering and feeding.

... somebody one day in the future will have to take care of my 'collection'...

Good for you, that's great that you can share your hobby with your daughter. My son is watering my trees while we're on vacation and I'm scared, and he's 29. :(

The Lavender wall was absolutely swarming with these furry friends. I got a bit too close at one point and ended up being a landing pad for some. Wasn’t stung but stepped back to remain at a respectful distance.

Everyone has their place around here. However it can make pruning and rotation a challenge !!FF67249D-633C-4A86-BEDA-19EF532C53E4.jpeg74D04B0A-308B-479C-A8C6-28261F5936E7.jpeg

Yeah, I had one of this on my oak clump... we have an understanding that, you don't touch me and I don't touch you. The relationship lasted all season long until winter so we're good.

Not sure who was the most confused in this clip, the cat or the hedgehog. I do know that in the next clip some ten seconds later, the cat was nowhere to be seen.
The trail cam is set up in my back garden at Clay Cross where there are a number of hedgehogs and cats too unfortunately.

Wow! Took me awhile to find him. I miss them more than I see them too. Looking for it was kind of like looking at one of those puzzles for kids where you try to find difference between two pictures. I won't mention what it is because that would spoil it for others, but judging your location, they must be very wide spread because we have lots of them here.

BTW, your ficus need to be fertilized. Perhaps there is too much competition from the weeds, or maybe they just haven't been fertilized for awhile. Maybe both.
