Warm forecast

Slowly coming along, benches filling up, it turns out that sawdust as mulch is a pain to remove...4B2A15CC-BC7F-4574-B163-655672F7E30D.jpeg
Been sporadically snowing today, but the big buggers have mostly thawed and they’re coming out, my poor back..B38FEF34-7077-4A78-8B47-636662280528.jpeg9F9F3DCF-BD0E-441F-8517-D54B2692F553.jpegFF8EB29D-75B3-4E48-9A7A-879D756908AC.jpeg

Have to start repotting by next weekend I suppose.

Everything is now out of the mulch and off to he ground. Started repotting, first one up a crabapple that gets real good neglect around here, it’s a “maybe someday” type of tree. A few of these is good warm up to get the system working and materials together. 0B6C2DFF-1F6F-49C3-A2A8-71ACEB871703.jpegB4AABE90-7517-4E3B-B700-6BBD48AC87BA.jpeg

No still, no bow or rifle targets, no bassboat, no camper, no cars up on blocks, no pickup truck. You lack the requisite accoutrements.

A lot of potential in those pictures, a lot of work too :) but promising.
Should be a lot of fun too

Driveway is on the other side of the fence. You’re right though, I’ve got a few of those items covered plus more but am missing some. Redneck is not exactly the right word, not sure if there is one.

I see you got some guard chickens to keep the bonsai bear away.

You should see that momma hen put the run on the dog and cat, hilarious! We did have our first bear of the year knocking on the backdoor last night. When I went out to complain he gave back the biggest most aggressive huffs and snorts that I’ve ever heard from a bear before. Hopefully he won’t be a regular, he chewed on a few things just to check but there was no garbage or food attractants for him. Need to buy a new Jerry can though.. again..

Yes to all three. At the moment I’m a bit intimidated by the work load but feeling good about it all. Not feeling that big a rush to go collect more but probably will do a day or three this year. As soon as I catch up, ha.

You have an embarrassment of riches in Pines because you live on a mountainside in the middle of nowhere, but are a few bricks shy of a load of deciduous. You have tradebait that could enrich your collection greatly. Unfortunately, Canadian Customs makes swapping with us Yanks a burden, but there are lots of cityfolk in the Eastern provinces that would jump at the chance to do business...

Spruce and fir on the block today.

Some major ones...

Warm up little guys first. 0ADA21FC-3DD8-4260-9641-D6553CC8B2E1.jpeg93C28009-80BD-499F-934F-7AB4DD263363.jpeg

This one hanging now, sandwich break. This doesn’t require a hoist due to size but in order to not rub off the great bark during the process. 711872F7-733C-48BD-AAF0-2DE809EDF302.jpeg56F5A073-9AAB-4D37-AC92-3CEA1F7C09D0.jpeg
