The beavers in my area have made some pretty nice yamadori material. Its nice that they do all the trunk chopping ahead of time. Wish they had a better eye for primary branch selection though

1 beaver capped. One gator had a good meal.

After we capped one they escalated to taking the rest of the chopped trees plus a few more. We can see that they are fortifying their mound.

3 beavers capped
29 BCs destroyed. Some had their bark completely peeled off. There is no chance to grow back for those BCs.

I wouldn’t be able to collect my larches off it weren’t for the beavers here. Slogging through a mile+ of 3 foot deep mud is not as easy as paddling through a nice beaver pond.
