Please... measure the width of the base (below the water) and make sure you have a pool big enough to plant it... it would be a real waste to have the tree die after collection for not having a container big enough.

Or, this could make an awesome niwaki in someone's backyard...

That big tree pretty much will need a big plastic fish pond liner for a pot.
We will also need some good lawyers and bail-bond money ready. :D

Not that I'm suggesting this, but one could always chop the tree in the middle of the night, dig it up and re-plant the top portion of the tree. By the time they realize it's dead this guy will be swimming in his little pool in someone's backyard.

I guess you would be buying it as soon as it is out of the water. Start commissioning a pot for that beast! Problem is I don't think there is a bonsai potter with a kiln that big.
