Thanks Milehigh_7. For some reasons, I really love flowering specimens !Nice! You have a way with the flowering ones!
Nice Bonhe! The first branch is too flat though. Bring it up will you!
My ume finished blooming 2-3 weeks ago. It's got a bunch of little plums already.
Sad. Beauty is fleeting.
Hey Clyde, thanks for posting your ume. I ordered a batch of 'Omoi no Mama' umes from Bill V. earlier this year, but asked that he deliver them in March as that is my usual repotting month. From the looks of your pictures, I should have requested that he sent them earlier, but something to look forward to next year![]()
Not actually ume but it is a plum. Third is a pic with it's mother (who had more flowers before last night's storm). Great tasting plums but I don't know what variety it is.
Thanks Si. This year, I plan to let branchlets from secondary branches go up.Nice Bonhe! The first branch is too flat though. Bring it up will you!

What type of light do you find is best for your Ume? I have had my peaches full sun and they are thriving but my new pruns seem to be getting a lil dry at the tips and it is not a watering isse. Do the prunus like less than full sun?
