If you visit the Pines forum, you may have seen my threads on some pines that I inherited from my father in law. This tree wasn't a bonsai of his, but I don't think he could pass up a seed or cutting that he wouldn't try to propagate. This is I think an Ume, and he grafted a different colored flowering branches as well (some are white, some are pink). I got this from him a couple of years ago, removed much of the long taproot and potted it in an Anderson flat.

Today I repotted it, it has spread out nicely in the flat. I had planned to put it into a training pot, but after removing the remains of the taproot, I decided to put it into this pot as it fit well.

I haven't done much styling on the top yet, just keeping it in check, but will focus on that now.
