So the family got together and bought me new tools for my birthday.
My son bought me Wazakura trimming scissors.
Very nice, very sharp, a popular choice here one Bonsai Nut. But, I think the rivet is just a bit loose with a little of a wiggle. But, maybe this is the way they are supposed to be.
My wife bought me-
TianBonsai spherical concave Cutter-
Also seem high quality, very sharp, and came with a canvas/plastic storage holder.
Vouiu 6 piece tool set-
This was a big surprise, at this price (usually $100/set, currently on sale $80). I wasn’t expecting a whole lot when ordered. But surprisingly seem very solid, sharp, and quality tools. Came with a useless fabric bag to hold all 6 tools.
Now, only time will tell how durable they will be and keep a sharp edge. But very pleased with all three brands.
I was most surprised by the Vouiu tools. If you are looking for budget tools, don’t be scared away by the price. Initial assessment is that they are as good as the Wazakura and Tian.
I would order any of the three again in the future.
