Tokutake Bonsai Sale Sponsored by Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society
Presentation at 6:30 pm. Sale will start thereafter.
Presentation includes discussion of design considerations for a pot commissioned for the Denver Botanic Gardens bonsai collection as well as other pots placed in world class bonsai trees.
A curated selection of bonsai trees from members of the Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society will be present. RMBS members will be present to answer any questions regarding Bonsai.
About the artist:
Nao Tokutake is a talented Hillsboro, Oregon based bonsai ceramicist and bonsai artist. Nao produced the ceramic for the 2021 U.S. National's Best Deciduous tree, the ceramic for the Director's Award at the 2024 Pacific Bonsai Expo, and his ceramics are also featured in public collections including the Pacific Bonsai Museum. Nao's ceramic work is also sought after by notable bonsai professionals such as Ryan Neil, Andrew Robson, and Todd Schlafer. Nao combines the long-established methods, styles, and craftsmanship from his Japanese roots while also honoring his own style, American materials, and engineering background to create a modern approach with the Bonsai Container.
