I use a controller(apex by neptune) for my aquariums, with multiple probes for PH, temp....
U get readings on ur phone and can customize commands like turn on chillers or heaters ... if temp is....
U can also set audible alarms or email or phone notifications if readings are out of range....
And can set daily schedule for lights or other equipment on/off. Maybe setup an on/off for a solenoid on ur water irrigation system ...

I have been using sensor push for 2 years now, really happy with it. They are 100% wireless with no power requirements. With the gateway, you can access from anywhere you have reception. No frills, easy setup and logging.

Only need to change batteries once a year.

I have a wireless hygrometer from Govee. Sends temp and humidity to my phone, I can check on it from wherever I am in the world. Can set upper and lower limits with alarms pushed to my phone and watch. It’s worked really well since early this Summer. Less than $40 on Amazon, I’m fully satisfied with mine.
