Thermometer sensor station- wireless system

Looking to get a new thermometer system for the greenhouse, my old one doesn't seem to have enough range to see the remote sensors.
Anyone have systems that they use and like?
I need 3 stations, one of them needs to have a probe. I do outside, inside the greenhouse, and probe for inside a pot. Some of the ones Ive seen don't have min/max and I need that option, also humidity monitoring. Some of the ones I've looked at don't get below freezing, and of course they will need to do that.

I think it would just be easier to fix Bill up with a cot in the greenhouse, and he can monitor it for you!

I use the accurite system for wireless thermometers that you can follow online.
I couldn't find a probe.

Very sensitive, monitors both temp and humidity. captures data and stores it so you can monitor average daily highs and lows of the course of years.

Sensors alone will send data to phone if using bluetooth (if you're home/in range), but I recommend getting the Gateway option and set up to send notifications to your phone if over- or under-temp, regardless of where you are.

no probe for soil though.... so there's that. But you can link to as many sensors as you want and you can place them all over your greenhouse (up high, down low, etc...)

I have the LaCrosse system. I have an app on my phone. The main panel is in my house, a sensor in my greenhouse and a sensor out front. I have monitored this thing from all the way over in DC. It has min/max on humidity and temperature. Plus the data will show you over a 24 hour period or seven day period on the app on my phone. It also has high and low temperature alerts if you want them

In the same boat as you. I've amassed a number of remote reading min/max thermometers over the years, mostly bought from Lowes. They are failing so I've been looking to replace with something new. I am testing one I got from amazon, if interested do a search for "Ambient WS-15-X3 wireless 8-channel thermometer". It cost about $38 and comes with 3 remote sensors and one base station. You set the channel with little switches on the back of the remote units and it allows up to 8. The remote units have wired sensors so you can put the sensor inside a structure and have the transmitter outside. Right now I'm testing to see how the range is.

Also they have a calibration option which is nice, as I'm finding that the remote units run about 2-3 F too warm. Range is -40 to +140 F. This will not transmit to your phone so if you need that ability you'll have to look elsewhere.

How many years did you get out of it?

Assume you replaced batteries, sometimes the range decreases as the batteries age. I don't know if this one has a low battery indicator but I've found on some that the range can be affected even before they report the battery as low.

Their website looks ancient, but their customer service is very very good. If you describe your needs to them, they will know exactly what to recommend. I use their equipment to monitor my wine cellar and meat-curing room

how is the range? how far away is your farthest sensor?

How many years did you get out of it?

Assume you replaced batteries, sometimes the range decreases as the batteries age. I don't know if this one has a low battery indicator but I've found on some that the range can be affected even before they report the battery as low.

yeah, just put new batteries in for the season, so that's not it. I suppose it could just be age.

I've had this set for 3 years. They all seem to last about that long.

I have had the ThermoPro TP65A, with additional remote sensors, for a year. The system works… but the base station uses batteries fairly quickly and I only was really testing about 30–50 feet of range.

They are inexpensive, but I don’t know how well they’ll fit your needs. I hope this provides info on what not to buy.

@JudyB did you ever upgrade your system? I'm very frustrated with my own...again mine is older than yours it appears. It just doesn't want to read the sensors in the greenhouse on a regular basis. I'm constantly replacing batteries...the base if the batteries aren't brand new. Forget about it. Waking and heading to the greenhouse at 3am...to see where it stood temp wise...not something I intend to do the remainder of winter. On the nights it's not dependable. A few years back...I did add new sensors...kept the old base. But...I need something, looking to a brand name to search to buy.

See...I'm really not comfortable with using my phone. When my cell doesn't work from home. If we lose power...then, I have no way to monitor the greenhouse. I had been happy with my system until last year. So maybe I will see if I can find another one...but new and replace the entire system. Thanks.
