The Tree Thread

A Subalpine Fir I bought off an aging friend — it’s almost even too heavy for me to carry! (around 100 lbs) The trunk diameter is approaching 5 inches.

It was styled this year by Andrew Robson and responded well. I will likely have to continue wiring this thing twice a year for the next 5 years to keep the foliage tips in the right positions.

Andrew is very good at his craft! Your fortunate to have him available nearby! Keep a close eye on the wire biting in Sub Alpine Fir has softer bark and can put on growth quickly! This has been very apparent in this one I am developing. The big plus is the ease with which they back bud.
