Very happy with the progress of this Spirea “magic carpet”. The contrast of leaf colors and soon flowers is just lovely. Now to figure out a pot shape and color.

azalea in bloom, unknown pot but seems nicer than most unknown pots

i like the base but i worry the right path forward for it is a chop and regrow from scratch, or perhaps just a very hard cutback and focus on making new branches. the reverse taper right there above the trunk base is concerning.

or i could just keep it as a happy colorful poof ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
