The n00b energy is BAD! If I had all the money back that I spent on pointless material in the beginning, I could buy a nice finished tree and just enjoy maintaining that instead. I guess I thought that since I was already a plant dude, bonsai would be this really easy hobby to take on and be super successful with. That said, the husbandry has been quite easy to pick up. The rest of the techniques however, have taken significantly longer to become even somewhat adept at. This hobby has taught me patience if nothing else.
I went that way too. Had to be real cut-throat with all the initial material. Like when you move from one house to another, you take the opportunity to get rid of stuff you haven't used in a while. I took that approach with all the trees. I was like "You bore me. You're outta here! You have no future development potential. You're gone! You were an impulse buy. Off to the woods with you!"

Why would he be selling any of his trees? I don't know Adair to sell his trees. That made me pause. He's not intending to get out of bonsai. He has an amazing broom with quite history that won the last show he was in.
