The best water wand?

DRAMM makes a 16 and 30 inch with a selectable output. They have a Lifetime Warranty, and they are prompt if you need to use it. I have slowly gone to all DRAMM products except the Watering Can(s) which are Haws or lighter plastics from AGWAY

DRAMM https://rainwand.com/model/16-kaleidoscope-rain-wand/ are found on Amazon too - good stuff and a wide variety of products.

Problem is, I have an expandable hose, and I've heard they don't work well with those. Not enough pressure. I also really like the look (and, I'm assuming, the feel) of the Haws lance. If I can't find a round rose, I may go with the Dramm, though, and just return it if it doesn't work well.

Eh, I ordered the Dramm 1000, anyway. Worst case scenario I have to return it.

I am kind of thinking that my shitty Home Depot lance is going to be just fine, though. If I wave it back and forth, it doesn’t create too much soil disturbance. I imagine even just the weight of the water from the 1000 will end up being about the same.

Oh, wait, I think we're talking about different items. Bonhe's was the lance that attaches to a hose. This guy.

Thanks for the insight, though. I imagine they're pretty similar in their output.
FWIW, I have this piece of $#!@. Not worth the money, IMO. Breaks branches if you're not careful. Unless you turn the hose on full blast, the rose just mostly dribbles and washes soil out. Certainly not worth $74.

I avoided that one, not for the price but I dislike that type of valve. I went with DRAMM soft touch and they offer full simple control. Funny since I figured out what worked best here I quit foliar and only use them to rinse off the plants on occasion. The Haws cans are nice though, use them daily without the rosette

Not to dredge up an old thread, but I cannot for the life of me find that round rose. Where did you get yours, if I may ask?
I just checked the website which I bought the Haws brass round threaded rose and found it was not there any more ! I also googled it, but there are no sites selling it ! You may contact Haws company to acquire this item!!
Yes, with the oval round , you can not properly aim the water stream to the pot which will waste the water. Besides, due to its shape, it is difficult to water the soil without the inferior leaf (or needle) wet .

I repeat this: I have been using for more than years without any problems. You can see the way the water flow being control with handle. I really like it because it’s length which protect me from back problem ( I don’t have to bend my back down in standing position, even with the pot is on the ground)

P/s: I have so many trees in my yard, so the watering can is out of mine !

I understand and honest I like the flow control on that model - The one @rockm showed is the same I saw while shopping and that damn valve was just not acceptable. Thank you for sharing your link for future reference :)

Is a hose with the right watering wand as good or better than a watering can?
In my opinion yes.
I use a dollar store wand and my trees are just as healthy as anybody else who has posted in this thread with their fancy brand name watering cans and wands.

I think you can get them for less but they are the shizz. You can turn the water to full pressure and not disturb the soil. They are amazing.
I thought they seemed a bit pricey but I got approval from the Mrs so I jumped on it. I can't wait to use them. My current choices at home made me hold the water on half way and a specific distance away. It was driving me crazy.

I got these at home depot in the late fall or winter, only $0.01 each....
I grabbed 5 of them 2 years ago...
Nice soft shower, best with regular hose.

I purchased the Dramm 1000 water breaker (red plastic one) and do not like it.
Unless you are using full water pressure the water doesn't separate into individual streams, but pours out like an open hose.
On full pressure it works as expected, but that's too much water volume for most potted plants, and it will wash away a lot of soil.

Darn, that's exactly what I'm worried about with my expandable hose. Will find out in a few hours when it delivers.

Did you get the dramm 1000 or the red head? They look exactly the same in the descriptions but if you find the dimensions the red head is smaller but still has 1000 holes

Try one of these. They make different models, I like the 2gpm the best. All I’ve ever used and love it. I may try one of the other things people talk of here to to compare, I’d like to try different things anyways..
You probably don’t want the foggit if you don’t like foliar parts of trees getting wet when you water. 631B7442-1ADC-4E47-91DE-E3186A154034.jpeg
