The 2023 Yamadori/Collecting Thread

Last year I collected my Little Man BC. BNutters pointed out to me that I should have collected the BCs that were in the back ground of the picture I took (see picture below). Tomorrow morning I am heading back to the location to see if I can collect it. I think it may be a little too big but I finally got the permission to go back there. We'll see what we can get. The trees in the picture got some serious flutes. I am just hoping that it won't be too big to collect.
At this rate, by the time I move to PA, I will need an 18 wheeler just for my BCs :D

Let's go Uncle C.

I moved to a new house in December and the front yard is lined with large junipers that call my name every time I drive by. I want to dig one of them up but I don't think the landlord would appreciate it! 🀣

Maybe if you suggest to replace those ugly things with new tiny ones...

Answer to that is easy . Explain the situation to him ( after all you are a paying customer ) be honest tell him they look unkept . But you are interested in them gets some pics of nursery stock that most people consider more appealing visual . You must get quality that is a decent size offer to purchase and plant them and take care of them until established

In many jurisdictions, the land on the street side of the sidewalks is city property and not part of the private lot sq. footage … just sayin’ : )

very good point . If that’s the case there is still possibilities . But don’t go into it blind most likely will be told no . Because it’s easier . You need elected person on your side . Town councillor . Or the like . Get them on your side you stand a much better chance . Plus get something in writing from landlord . Trees are unsuitable or unsightly . Eco friendly card your going to relocate instead of cut down πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘

Funny you said because I was saying to myself β€œHoly Batman!” when I got next to the tree. I wouldn't even think of it if I didn’t have a tractor.

So how big is too big? I'm really trying to limit myself to trees I can still pick up alone.

So far I have one tree and one forest that is too big 😁
PS: When you use a 5 gallon bucket instead of a Coke can or a beer bottle for size comparison. The tree is too big. This tree is my one major indulgence.
