Talk to Me About Ground Growing

Maybe the farmer is not the only one losing his mind?
so it's unlikely that these trees will suffer going into 2016.
Either you are living in the past or have just lost a decade?

Best of luck with the dig and the trees managing the transplant at this time of year. I've seen some very encouraging talk about Autumn transplant so would expect reasonable results in your climate. If some go into shock and drop leaves, don't panic. Trees under stress toward the end of the season often elect to go into early dormancy but usually come good in Spring.

😆 Good typo. I was exhausted (and definitely losing my mind). Hoping to get a helper for next weekend.

Thanks again for all the advice during this experiment!

re: trees and dormancy - My plan is to put deciduous into semi-shady areas of the backyard to encourage this, but leave conifers (juniper and pine) in the sun as they just keep on growing through our mild winters.
