Taiwanese Beech- Fagus hayatae

Anyone grow a Taiwanese Beech or know some examples? Seems like an excellent candidate in the Beech genus.

 
I didnt know there was such a beech, im only familiar with European, Japanese and American. do you have access to them?
the colours on that are not much different to the ones i mentioned.

No access and first I’ve heard as well. The leaves look smaller in the one image.
think you'll find the ones i mentioned easier to source😉
plus there is nothing special about the one in the picture, they all produce nice colours and reduce in leaf size, maybe apart from the American one.
 
Oh yeah I know those are easier to source. There’s something about having a lesser grown species though.
 
Reviving this post for this video clip - was curious myself! The video should start where he shows his taiwan beech. He also has some smaller ones he shows earlier.
