i decided against the pinus strobus based on the input from the forum.
however my son and i spent the morning visiting nurseries(bday gift for him)and i couldn't pass this up.it was off to the side next to a bench of what looked like rejects.they told me it wasn't the greatest tree,i told them it was for bonsai and they told me it would be good for bonsai and gave it to me for $20.
i want to develop it more before making it a bonsai and would like advice.should i start training any branches, eliminate any that are clustered etc...
also when bringing in out of the car i noticed these white things clinging to it ,cotton like, pollen maybe?should i be concerned.
is there anything to look for as far as diseases, worms etc.. since it is a "reject"
