In case you wonder, a jet flew through the low cloud ceiling on approach to my local air port. The air disturbance kept rolling until that hole was formed. The hole stayed that way for about 15 minutes before it deformed.

It was pretty scary. High winds, hail and tornados all around. Luckily we didn't have any real damage, just a bunch of limbs blown down. This is the next town over.
