Can anyone point me to a resource that lists species that are suitable for air layering? I've found pieces here and there but could imagine a comprehensive list being somewhere... TIA

I know of no such list, but I believe almost any tree will airlayer. What you need to know is the different techniques used for different trees and the timeline involved for different species.

Probably the majority of woody trees can be air layered. It might be easier to make a list of the ones that are very reluctant or impossible.

From my experience: Acer truncatum, Shantung Maple. Had callusing for two years, but no roots. The top eventually died. After looking up this species in Dirr, it seems it is likely to never layer.

That's helpful. Where can I find that info?

Amazing. Thank you!
