Hey all,
Does anyone know of a source that sells Japanese Beech seeds or seedlings? I have been scouring the internet on and off for the last couple days and can’t find ANYTHING. The one thing I did find is that Sheffield’s website says they are supposed to be getting in a fresh bath of seed sometime soon. So hopefully I’ll be able to acquire some from them sometime before spring.

Will probably give them a call tomorrow. But does anyone have any possible leads for Japanese Beech seed or seedlings?

I'm interested also, if anybody has a definite lead on seed vendor(s).

Anybody come up with a source for J. Beech seedlings?

Boone county arboretum in KY and Dawes arboretum in OH both have Japanese beech trees on their grounds. Maybe they’re dropping seeds.

Japanese Beech in particular have been notoriously challenging to source for years:( You could try European Beech, which should be much easier to find, more hardy, slightly larger leaf.

Recently purchased European Beech seeds from Etsy. Vendor Treeseedman.com.
