Small JBP "Kotobuki"

I actually exchanged the tree that started this today for a trident maple and a black pine premie...it should be fun learning some of the pine basics on a clean slate rather than getting frustrated as my knowledge grows with that bad graft!

Well, for those interested, here is the updated picture. Now that I'm looking at it full-size, I see that I didn't get a great picture of the graft. The bulge is still there and maybe a bit bigger due to healing over that callous. I didn't really know what that graft would do when I bought it, but after I realized that it was way to high, I was already attached to the tree. I put it right in my view when I walked out my back door and now I have simply grown attached to seeing it there.

Hi I have a kotobuki pine too. Need info on growing these? Any magazine or online info? I am looking for specific info related to developing them. Most of the info available is on maintenance of developed bonsai. Appreciate any help.

I would treat it just like black pine.
