Unknown cultivar, this is one I grew from seeds collected on wingate university campus.

As a hybrid of silver maple, the tree has nice reddish colored new growth, foliage and shoots.

Yes its spring here in NZ.....I'm in Wellington.
Winter is from May to Aug...but the weather is unsettled (cool and Very windy) until about Nov.
Winters aren't that cold...no snow and only the rare frost...very wet all winter though.

I’m hoping to try a small air layer on it this year to see how it does. This one is a Mr. Maple tree I got in 2022. It’s about 4’ tall now.

I got mine from.Mr. Maple too around the same time. Mine isn't as tall because I tried to air layer, and it didn't take. Probably due to something on my end.
