My partner recently did a mushroom foraging walk which gave us the confidence to go and look for some of the easier to identify mushies.

Penny Buns my son found the biggest one he was delighted.

Fly agaric( not edible) unless you are into that kinda thing

Spotted hundreds of fly agarics this week, was touring the Great glen/North coast, visiting caledonian pinewoods sites. Some of the best were spotted on roadside verges, size of dinner plates!

Brought this Ficus benjamina inside to overwinter about a week ago. Just noticed the mushroom poking out the side.

Aureoboletus mirabilis (admirable bolete) in a hemlock stand.
October is peak mushroom season in western Washington.

I got a tiny shroom on my ROR ficus, too.

Raking pine duff at a clients today, lots of fungal activities. No idea what these are.

I think the official name is a stinkhorn mushroom. I can think of a few other names that might be appropriate for this one, but decorum might be better served if I didn’t post them. . It does stink really bad.
