Show us bugs on tree’s

Not sure whose eggs they are. Spider eggs will be all together in a round cocoon and it would be attached to the web and guarded by momma spider or attached to her...
I would normally think so, but they’re either spider eggs or that spider in the photo has just had a feast!

edited to add that the photo I’m seeing on the thread is much lower resolution than the one i took
 
Came back from holiday to find these caterpillars have eaten my cryptomerias and maples :/

Spent some time picking them off and then sprayed the trees with BT to try and get rid of the eggs. It’s been a buggy summer

I found this youngster on a red pine today. I hope it has enough time to mature as it’s getting late in the season.

And this was on a Japanese maple (which I’ve been nursing all season for some fungal infection). The lightening bugs/fireflies have been all around lately.

Well, the praying mantis definitely had enough time to mature, here it is today
