Show us bugs on tree’s

Well, it's the 3rd year we have them around. Last year wasn't too bad, because we had a cold snap right before Thanksgiving, but this year it looks worse. Winter was really mild and there is lots of them around. With them you need the scorched land tactics, but there would be nothing left afterwards...
Oh well, the house burned down, but we don't have bedbugs anymore... 🤷‍♂️
They are horrible...

Napalm nice. I like the way you think. :) It sounds like they eat everything like most pests, the Japanese beetles are still giving me fits so yet another invasive insect to put on the list. I'll squish em if I see em.

Well, nothing really works on them... they just jump away. There is a lot of them on our grapes, but they don't seem to make any damage. In the woods we they are favoring their compatriots, chinese elms, and black walnuts. Trees and everything under them becomes covered in sooty mold from their exudations. Wasn't there a talk about importing some parasitic wasps from China?

Good for the grapes! You make wine? I didn't hear about the importing wasps, but it certainly sounds like it would help a little. I wonder if some good old American tachinid flies will attack the Lanternfly? :)

Here's a completely unrelated picture of an ant at work.

We make a little bit of wine. Not really worth the trouble...
