Shou Sogi Ban technique stand

I definitely like the effect that it gives.
I probably would prefer the rest not to have the green stain(?) though.
 
Beautiful! I really enjoy this technique, and I just finished a bonsai “bench” using it. What wood did you use? And did you re-burn after your first brushing? I used Cedar, and the softer spring growth between grain lines really digs out when you brush it giving a two tone look that is stunning. I have heard that hardwoods don’t really do this as much however.
