Hello yall. It's the end of the year and I'm looking to clear out a bunch of trees for new projects next year.
I have this very large cali juniper for sale. It's posted on the bonsai sales page on facebook but I'm posting here for more exposure. If you went to the Pacific expo, your probably also saw it at one of the vendors.
Collected in the early 90s in the Mojave Desert. Tree has been in at least 3 gardens before me. Previous owner stated that the original collector was Harry Hirao, but I have no way of validating that. Tree was last repotted in 2006. THE POT IS BROKEN but taped together and will need a repot soon. Very little work has been done by me besides pruning elongated shoots. Needs to be detail wired but it looks to have nice primary structures. I'm looking to sell this particular tree because I have no space for a tree this big at my place. It is currently at a friends in Chino Hills, CA.
I've attached a photo of the tree with a person for reference. As you can see, the tree is massive and needs two people to move around. The pot length is 25 inches across, and the nebari(including deadwood) is 16+ inches. Full dome canopy. Needs work but would be a very solid centerpiece. Really nice live vein and deadwood fin.
My asking price is 5200 or trade for material of good quality. I prioritize local pickup in Chino Hills, but freight is possible. PM me for questions and offers. Thank you for your time.
