Anyone think this could be a fungal issue?

Backstory- I got this Sekka Hinoki online in May this year. It came wobbling around in a sopping wet - giant pot with interior foliage completely brown.

After removing the dead interior leaving it to let it secure it’s roots, it’s actually put on a lot of growth in 5 months.

The past month or so we’ve had a lot of marine layer and despite not needing to watering it much the soil stays wet and I’m noticing grey/brown bits all over the plant.

Do you guys think it could be a fungal issue?

They don’t seem like pollen cones but maybe I’m wrong? Here’s a closer image of the brown tips.

Well, looks like cones to me. And overall, I see lots of bright green tips, which is a very good sign.

Others with more Sekka experience might chime in, but at this point, it doesn’t look fungal to me.

I hope you are right and thanks for the input. Definitely a lot of new growth all summer and into autumn so I was a little surprised/concerned. But if it’s just comes that’s great!
