I have several saplings that are a while away from needing much done and one watereri variety a little bit further long.
Picked up this "blue pearl" this weekend for practice material as its a bit further along than anything I currently have.
Lots of healthy growth


Nice thick base and some flaky bark developing

I'll repot it late summer into a pine mix or straight pumice. Roots look healthy and growing well.

Several possible trunk lines


A few circling roots that might need to be dealt with to improve the nebari.
I'll hopefully get in and begin to trim some of the un needed branches/whorls and start to get a better look at the options.
Either way, it's a nice compact tree and if it comes to it, it can always go in the ground as a garden tree.
