Thank you so much. For all your advices. I’ll keep you up around May to let you know what happens then. Until then i’ll pass my time grinding through my courses in University.I have no idea what Peter Chan does. He does not live in my life
I do not think you should split the trunk.
Be carefull thinking out the tree. Make clean cuts and let the top grow. Then this species closes cuts very well.

Ok thanksI saw the post. Do not know what it is. Fungal might be. Could be a type of mite. Could be mechanical damage.
My first guess would be fungal. Maybe wait for the next set of leaves and see whether these are normal?
THe water exchange and gas exchange work differently in soil or pot, unfortunately.I was thinking of like as if i was growing it in the ground

Yeah i guess i thought it was bigger ‘cause of the numbers. From what i can see from the holes in the colander, it has many fine roots. And it’s actually pushing some nice vigor. I was just asking to know if this could actually help it. I’m still kinda new in this whole horticultural world. If your maple was happy and healthy I would have sai, go for it. For now, I would ensure health first. You want the tree to occupy the pot quickly. But.. This is not a laaarge pot.
Btw thank you so much. And i’m sorry if i usually ask so much. I just fell in love in this whole world, always in mind 24/7Yeah i guess i thought it was bigger ‘cause of the numbers. Anyway what about my idea of putting a tile under the colander, is it doable or better not do it?
What about pruning it after summer? Around autumn? I saw some folks prune maples around that timeI would let it be and grow this season, no pruning, no styling
