Safe to repot after redwood burl puts out roots

It'd just be practice at this point... but there are quite a few "special" trees I've located over the years that I'd like to have a genetic copy of.
 
Hi @Calderfh , just found this thread. My family took a vacation to California when I was in high school in 1970 (yes I am old LOL) and we visited Muir woods. At the souvenir shop my Mom bought a burl and grew it in water for maybe 5 years until the shoots got so long they looked ungainly. Neat to see a burl again.

Did you ever go on a collecting trip with the other BonsaiNuts?
