I am thinking about redesigning my benches this winter and would like some help. I live on a side of a hill and the property faces south. The issues is most of the yard gets direct sun from sun up to sun down. So I created a bench setup off to the side in the woods. Part of the bench gets sun from 12 to sun down. The other part gets filter sun and no direct light.
My maples are in the filtered sun light while my elms and junipers are in the full light. My concern is if I should move the table out to complete sun and put some sort of shade cloth over the maples and hornbeams. I really do not think the trees in filtered sun is getting enough sun which is leading to the pots being wet longer.
Suggestions?
