Question, reason for different color leaves on Trident

Great reading on this stuff, thanks again. Right now I will let it grow shaggy and out to set the branches where I want them to thicken them up. I have some main structure wiring where I want it so I will let it grow til winter. Now question is, I want to repot in a Anderson flat to thicken up the trunk line. Any thoughts and guidance I would appreciate. Thank y’all.
